It is now clear that eyewitnesses
are often wrong in their identification of defendants. In response to the
growing interest in the developing science in this area, a consortium of the
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the National Legal Aid
and Defender Association (NLADA), the Innocence Project and the Public Defender
Service of the District of Columbia have put together an Eyewitness
Identification Reform Litigation Network, complete with listserv and an array
of resource materials.
